On Thursday, July 2, Lama Tsering Wangdu Rinpoche will lead Chöd practice and a fire offering puja in the Chöd tradition. The ceremony will take place at the fire pit on the south lawn of The Movement Center.
Fire pujas can be peaceful, abundant, powerful or wrathful. This one is from the Mahamudra of Machig Labdron and is primarily a wrathful puja, but it does combine all four types. It has many functions: to clear obstacles, to attract prosperity, to relieve harm and suffering, and to drive away negative energies.
All are welcome. Suggested donation: $20.
